A number of skill development and entrepreneurial development trainings have been designed for our target group aiming to upgrade their existing skills as well as new skills required in the growing economy of our country.

 

 

 

 

        The skill development training shall unveil new options to enter into the job market once again and entrepreneurial development training shall enhance their competency for starting new income generating ventures. In short the training will help retrenched workers to upgrade their skills or develop new skills so they can re-enter the workforce as quickly as possible.

 

The major areas of training will be determined according to demand from the retrenched workers, after discussions with Counselors. Some of the areas are:

 

Agro-based Trainings: Fish culture, vegetable cultivation, goat rearing, cow rearing, poultry farm management, beef fattening and horticulture nursery.

 

 

Technical & Mechanical Training: Refrigeration & air-conditions, electronics, welding, radio, TV, VCP, DVD, machinist, plumbing & pipefitting, farm machinery.

 

 

Other Skill Trainings: Carpentry, turner, building construction, metal work, blacksmith, spinning, weaving & knitting, dyeing & printing, ready made garments, and specialized textile.

 

 

Enterprise Development Training: Provision for non-formal enterprise development training shall be kept which can be made effective only when appropriate response from the target groups is assessed. The process may include program organizer providing information, preparing business plan, estimating cost of a business, informing marketing facilities, etc.
